TimeCoin Creations

Each TimeCoin starts with a subject, a story, an experience—designed with enough fluidity to allow for varying interpretations so that everyone can make it their own. They are meant to inspire, not dictate. Each piece is a surreal representation of human nature—our obsessions, contradictions, realities, absurdities, and desires—interpreted infinitely, like a many-worlds perspective on shared human experience.

Each TimeCoin is the result of countless hours of work, built using bitmap graphics, not vectors. It’s like painting with a brush on canvas—hard and painstaking, but vector graphics couldn’t achieve the result I envisioned. One bad brushstroke can’t easily be undone, which means each TimeCoin undergoes an average of a hundred iterations before reaching its final form.

Traditional design tools didn’t work for me. They didn’t match my workflow and style, so I spent months creating my own set of custom design tools and methodology to work the way I wanted—organically, fluidly, without constraints to what I try to create. My tools are crude, but they fit me like a glove even if this way of creating my art requires a lot of repeated efforts on my part, allowing me to focus on the art rather than becoming a software expert.

Each coin carries intentional details, layered meanings, and tiny, hard-to-see elements that play a part in its story. Even the colors are chosen for their meaning. Everything is blended into a surreal near-monochrome style, a signature aesthetic that I favor.

Every Timecoin carries a hallmark—a poinçon, placed somewhere discreetly on the coin. It’s a unique version of the fleur-de-lis, incorporating an almost-invisible time symbol. This poinçon is my signature—my personal seal of authenticity, a tribute to my culture and origins, and a reflection of my complex relationship with time. It shifts position between Timecoin series, and on special pieces, just as time doesn't always stays in one place.
