the Artist

A lifetime as an expat, working across continents, innovating in technology, health & safety, and communication—always with a touch of design for my own satisfaction.

Through it all, I’ve observed people everywhere, across cultures, economic backgrounds, and realities. No matter how different things seem, the same human absurdities and contradictions persist. We all roll our eyes at the same things—whether we realize it or not. The more things appear different, the more they are the same, that's such a cliché and yet.... Expats and world travelers will know exactly what I mean.

A fan of contemporary art, my life has allowed me to experience it across countless settings.

I’ve always loved timepieces—and I’m a fan of all things analog. Mechanical watches, vinyl records, dials on a car dashboard—all have a tactile soul that digital lacks. I’ve been obsessed with time my whole life—time... battling it, running against it, structuring habits and routines around it. Everything we are, do, and feel is time-dependent, so naturally, time had to be the foundation of my work.

As humans, we are obsessed with value—placing everything on a scale, whether it’s money, status, or meaning. To reflect that reality, I chose a symbol of value—the coin—as my canvas.

I wanted a strong foundation for my digital art, something that spoke loudly—the spacetime equivalent of an artistic universe. The combination of coin + time clicked instantly, giving TimeCoins the aesthetic of old-fashioned analog clocks with a surreal artistic twist. Time and value—two inescapable forces in human nature—came together as Timecoins.

Timecoins are my take on life—a surreal universe of human nature and its opposites. They are unapologetic, sometimes humorous, intense, and reflective of reality’s contradictions and paradoxes.

How we express ourselves—our messages, identities, and thoughts—can break through social constructs, internal conflicts, and hidden truths. TimeCoins are about embracing the weird, the beautiful, and the absurd.

The fleur-de-lis poinçon of authenticity—my logo, the symbol of my people—is central to my identity. It features prominently on my website but appears subtly as a poinçon on each TimeCoin.
